I have the pleasure to announce one more player joining us for Q&A here on myLPGA. Her name is Sophie Sandolo, France/Italy, and plays on the LET.

For you who don't know her, here is some info from Wikipedia:


Sophie Sandolo is an Italian professional golfer and member of the Ladies European Tour. She finished 15th on the Order of Merit in 2005. She began playing golf at 14 and made the Italian national team by the age of 16. She was Regional All American while playing for the UCLA. Her highest finish on the Ladies European Tour was 2nd at the 2005 Catalonia Ladies Masters. She earned notoriety by publishing a sexy calendar in 2005, which she has continued to release every year.

Since we now have two Sophies here on myLPGA please try to use different identifiers when writing about them......for example, Sophie G and Sophie S, or Gustafson and Sandolo.

I'm not sure if Sophie Sandolo has a nickname but Sophie Gustafson is also known as Soph so I guess you can use that for her as before.

Hi ya admin....I see a small problem that I think ONLY you, as administator of this site can handle.....I think since Sophie Sandolo has graciously accepted to become part of this golf site....she should have a "player folder" also....I know the listing has "LPGA Players" and that Sophie Sandolo is a LET Member....BUT....seeing as to how she is willing to spend chit-chatting time with us, I think she deserves a player folder....there might be moments where a poster might not want to "ask" a question but to just post where Sophie Sandolo is playing and how she is doing and such....perhaps a folder in the "Other Player section " would be good....but a personal folder would be nice

anyway....just my suggestion....I am sure that if you put it in the LPGA listing....some dissenter will grumble....but as admistrator, it is YOUR call

Hi ya Marinepaul...I was only saying this because the Category label of "LPGA PLAYERS"....I am sure someone who likes to "nit-pick" terminology would ask the Admin to change the label or make a new one

That's not necessarily true. I have a real problem with some terminology, like "Top 20" and "World's best," as you well know. But, the LET is a legitimate tour, and Sophie Sandolo is a member of that tour. That's a big difference from a freelance player, who has no affiliation with any tour.

I agree with wiefan and MarinePaul that Sophie S should have her own folder.
