Locking of Q&A Topics

To prevent confusion, long discussions, off topic discussions, hard to find questions, etc, we have decided that we will lock a Q&A topic/question once it has been answered.

This way, the topic focuses on a question and an answer.

It will also make it easier for the participating players to find and answer questions.

So if you have a question, just start a new thread.

Thanks!

Sophie. You are not only one of my favorites, but as of recently my golfing GURU. I have being following your playing for a few years. Please play the State Farm and win it.
I apologize to all, if I was the guilty one, for locking communications with Sophie.

The communications with Sophie are NOT locked!!!....only questions that already been answered.

The main reason for locking topics was to make it easier to find questions and answers.....one topic for each question. It will make it easier for the player answering and it makes it easier for us members searching for questions and answers. It's not anyones fault!

Don't be alarmed.....THE Q&A is NOT locked. You can continue posting questions just like normal.

Thanks!

I had another thought about the locking of questions and answers.

The locking of questions and answers is not only a good idea it is socially correct as well.

Let’s say I am in a public place, a restaurant for example, and I am having a conversation with someone at my table about a particular subject. While it is true that others in nearby booths or tables may be able to hear our discussion, they certainly do not have the social right to intrude on our discussion. :!:

Hey Gxer;

This is a message board, not a chat room. If you wanna have a private discussion, maybe you should do it somewhere else, assuming you can find someone who wants to have a discussion with you.

I welcome Admin's correction if I am wrong, but my impression is that the player Q/A is for people to read the player's opinions and answers and not for us to get into lengthy "discussions" telling the player what we think.

I thought it was up to the player to choose whether or not to discuss a given topic.

Am I wrong? :?:

You are correct that it's the players choice whether or not to answer a question. But it is a questions and answers section....not lengthy discussions.
