Frigging Golf Channel. I am watching tape delay, and live (normally I record LPGA events so I can blow through the ads). Anyway they go to ads and then come back with a Golf Score update AND THEY GIVE AWAY THE END OF THE EVIAN - THE EVENT THEY ARE BROADCASTING. What idiots! Basically I can just turn off the TV since I know the results. Ruins the viewing for me to know the result. I can imagine the ratings drop as people like me turn off the TV. What idiots!

I wrote them a unkind email letting them know what I think. If anyone else thinks this is stupid I would appreciate you also emailing them.

Cool

A great win! Congrats to Ai BUT....I would've liked to have watched the
tournament to the conclusion to find out. I purposely did not go online because I was anticipating a great final round since so many players were within just a shot or two of the lead. However, Golf Channel for some reason decided to spill the beans during one of their updates! Why would you do that when you're broadcasting the tournament? It wasn't like they were broadcasting the Canadian Open and updating the Evian scores. It was during a commercial break of the Evian! Thanks guys!!!!

The whole tape delay thing is just pathetic. You can't turn on ANYTHING, either t.v. or internet w/out finding out results.

But get used to it....the LPGA has a wonderful TEN year agreement with The Golf Channel. Great, eh?

The biggest problem I had with those who thought Bivens was making such a great deal with TGC was just this scenario. How many people are going to watch tape delays if they already know the results?

I was astonished by that as well - really clever of the Golf Channel not to realise what they're actually showing. Any faith I had in their professionalism ( not much to be honest ) vanished immediately. Thanks Bivens for 10 more years of this !

On the plus side, the commercials are so wonderfully, embarrassingly cringe-making and amateurish, I might watch just for them. There was even one for a Viagra pill clone, attempting to show the benefits from the female side - you couldn't invent this stuff could you ?

Finally, the older of the Miyazato 'twins' gets the victory.

As has been said, the first one can be the most difficult to achieve ;the floodgates could open for her now.

I couldn't be more pleased for her.

And I've won £520 pounds at the bookies...
