Question Natalie Priority List 2015

Natalie did not fare well on tour this year finishing 138 on the money list. My question is, how will this affect her status on tour in 2015. Where will she end up on the priority list and/or will she have to go back to qualifying school, or will medical reasons come into play.

Sources say that her bout with Malaria last year is still having lingering effects. I wonder if this could be a cause for a medical exemption?

Medical exemptions are usually put in place for someone who misses tournaments for injury or illness, not for poor play due to either of these issues. If Gulbis gets an exemption, it would be against the norm.

It should be noted that following the US Open in June, Natalie missed the next 11 tournaments due to injuries. She returned to the tour at the Sim Darby in Oct.

If that's the case, she'll be fine.

You know more about her than I do. If she missed any considerable amount of time, as this would suggest, then she should get an exemption next year.

Honestly, though, Gulbis is still a draw, so even without the exemption, she wouldn't have many problems getting sponsors exemptions. You just don't want to have to rely on them, because you only get so many.
