Hey.... I'm not your buddy, and I probably couldn't compete with John senior but at least I will always give her the benefit of the doubt.

Whew, it's tough trying to decipher those who don't speak the King's english.
Who is hard to decipher? Lorena, the "wiespeakers", Natalie, Danger, or Cleo? Btw, Natalie college performance was way below Lorenas. They were never equals. "if Lorena can do it so can I". Cleo: I can be you caddy, please.

I have to think that Natalie needs to believe she's as good as Lorena, Annika, or whoever happens to be the number one player at any given time. If she didn't believe she could beat every other player on the course, why would she bother trying.

I agree that Lorena's the superior player at this point, but I don't think Natalie should concede every tournament that they're in together.

Thanks for the offer ELF but I can't afford a caddy.

anyway I recall a couple of other somewhat similar comments to Natalie's. After Annika's 59, Se Ri said if Annika can do it so can she. We're still waiting for that one.

The wiemaniacs favorite said that she wasn't the best yet, but she(Michelle Wie) can beat anybody out there. Of course that was a couple of years ago so the updated version would be there isn't anybody that can't beat her.

by the way, my reference was to Natalie and Michelle not to those in which English is not their main language.

Any athlete has to think they're as good as or better than their competition. They have to have confidence in their own abilities, or they may as well look for another profession. Sometimes, I think some posters take things that are said much too literally.

Hi ya marinepaul....I am sitting here reading and eating my dinner....Holy Mama Cass....I almost choked on a piece of Pork Cutlet when you said "Sometimes, I think some posters take things that are said much too literally."....ahhh them good ol' discussions about Top 20 and words like best and greatest.....anyway...after a big swallow of Caffine Diet Coke....I am OK!!!...whew!!!

anyway...as far as this thread goes and Natalie's interview...I don't think Natalie was saying anything Negative...she was only reflecting on her own game....I think Gxer is bored that Wiesy is in school....thus the "Rumor Spreader" to see if Sophie would bite...and Sophie did....and also his comments to stir up the nest in Natalie's folder....ahhh this Gxer is terriffic at stirring the pot....but that is good as it keeps posters occupied as they pass the time

anyway....Boston has pushed the series to a game 7...in Boston....I don't know if there will be a Colorado/Cleveland World series....anyway....see ya.....have a good day....I gotta work tomorrow ....what a Bummer...oh well....see ya!!

Wiefan...I was going to say the same thing, but you beat me to it. He is contradicting himself again. He was so angry about Michelle and Bettina for playing at Samsung...and now he is preaching on how "an athlete has to think they're as good as or better than their competition."
Preach on, brother! What a hypocrite!

Wiefan, Natalie thinks she's as good as the competition. If she didn't, why should she even attempt to play at this level?

As far as pointing out that I got hung up on the "Top 20" thing in another folder, there's a difference. That involved a company trying to promote an event as "elite" when it certainly wasn't, given the two competitors mentioned.
