I don't think Natalie meant that in a derogative way. Lighten up, people.

Of course and Phil has admitted he will never get to Tiger's level of wins.

It isn't a matter of growing up either, it is a matter of facing facts and the facts are, Nats is not as good a golfer as Lorena.

Nats can kid herself if she wants to, that's fine with me, but she should keep it to herself and not make comments in an interview that are obviously not true.

Thats not the part of the interview that struck my attention, it was the part when she reffered to Jeong Jang as 'the lady I was playing against". I thought they had enough respect for each other to use their names instead of lady.

I am not going to respond to your child like comments. I think (my daddy can beat your daddy any day of the week). This wasn’t The Situation Room with Wolf Blitzer it was a four page interview with a very fine lady and a high profile celebrity that was intended to be lightly entertaining. You highlighted one sentence out of context and turning it into an issue that has absolutely nothing to do with what Natalie is all about. Your way of thinking reminds me of a backwoods country lawyer trading barbs over lots of beer with your local buddies at Joe’s Bar & Grill.

Now for the second time leave my Natalie alone.

DJ, I also don't see any malice there. Maybe I'm taking some of Wiefan's positive pills, but I don't think Natalie said anything in her interview that was negative or malicious against another player.

Clearly forgetting whom she played against.

Nice interview

Gxer I didn't think she said she was as good as Lorena. She realizes that her golf game has to be clicking on all facets to get better. Nobody is clicking better than Lorena.

Here's the complete part of the interview regarding Lorena Ochoa:
You were college teammates with Lorena Ochoa at Arizona. Was there any indication back then that she was going to be the best golfer in the world?

She was a great junior player growing up. She won the junior worlds five, six times. She was a very dominant player in college, and she had a great work ethic. You could tell. She's dominated at every level, and it's no surprise that she's successful on the LPGA Tour.

Do you think knowing her well can help you try to knock her off the top?

I think what's helped me is I know her very well and her game well. We played against each other in college, and she won a lot of events and I won a lot of events. I think it's easy to compare somebody that is so successful to yourself when you know you're just as good as them.

Them...plural. I think Natalie is talking in general...not just Lorena. In other words...she is talking positive.

Not quite Danger.

I think I've got it now. Unfortunately Natalie is using some "wiespeak" here, I think. I interpret it to mean that in college they were about equal in terms of events won, so although Lorena has been more successful on the professional level, she thinks that, if Lorena can do it so can I.

Whew, it's tough trying to decipher those who don't speak the King's english.
