Lets keep our fingers crossed that the LPGA figures out a way for MW to play more outside events. Right now under the exsisting rules she gets 2 byes during the season plus she might play two more events pre and post the LPGA calender. Four non LPGA tournaments is not enough to fill out her dance card.
It will be interesting to see how the plot unfolds especially if she continues to improve her international status during the remainder of 2006. If she falls flat, maybe the LPGA can play a wait and see game. But if she continues to do well in the top LPGA tourneys and makes a PGA or European cut or two the LPGA better think hard about accomodating her. In the end it wouldn't just be for MW but for any of a new breed of women golfers who want to test different waters as well. Case in point: 14 year old Kimberly Kim who also crushes the ball.
