Rule 88? Dana Bates

I don't know who Dana Bates is but she shot 89 today does rule 88 apply to her?

I think so.

She's entered by winning the Teaching and Club Pro Western Section Championship.

You may, or may not, remember her from The Big Break a few years ago. She's a 40+ year old player also now on the Futures Tour.

I think T&CP players are eligible for the Rule of 88. In fact, that's how it came about, to keep them from taking places in tournaments that Tour members could have.

Hmmm.... Even though she is a teacher....it looks like she is not very clever....didn't she know that situations like this are best handled by faking an injury...

If I remember correctly from the last thread about this, it applies to any non- LPGA member who shoots 88 or above.

I wonder if the 88 Rule would apply to her. Good question.
