ok folks...here are golf rules in a nutshell....the moment you hit the golfball...WHATEVER happens is ONE continual event....call the rule official, hit it out of bounds...it doesn't matter....once your ball is in play, it is the motion continuing again....Mark your ball, it stops the motion....take away your mark...Motion continues....it only stops AFTER the ball is in the hole

hmmmmm....Lojo...if a bird should scoop up your ball and take it somewhere else in the fairway....WHAT HAPPENS????....folks, I think this is one of the few times that the Ball is in play theory is corrected by a rule official placement...especially considering that a BIRD is NOT mother nature....a bird is just an inhabitant of Mother Nature, just like us humans....it is like a streaker runs on the course and steals a ball...the ball would be replaced at the closest proximity...this is my guess
