| Senior Member | "Ahn said she is an aggressive player, but Gilroy always advised her to play conservatively, so she wasn't disappointed when he left." Sorry, but I really don't think anyone knew that she was 'thinking': "It's a good thing he left, he wasn't any good for me anyway." If anyone was unprofessional (and this was from today's Takefuji telecast), it was him - he told her he'd found a better player! Regardless, all I was getting at was 4-whack's description of the whole thing made it sound like she went ballistic in the press!

I agree fourwhack's description was a bit exagerted, but I think it's best to keep your opinions of former employees out of the press. Even saying she "wasn't disappointed" -- you know, she could have said something like, "We had a good run and I wish him good luck with his next player." Maybe she did and the paper didn't print that part.

Blue, not all people are as diplomatic as you. Give her a break...she is from Korea and still learning the English language! Maybe what you said is "what she meant." Sometimes it's hard to express what you really want to say when you are speaking in a different language...especially when you are in the spotlight. *

Caddies Come... ![]() You know...it's just break-ups, they can be sour, especially when one person says, "Hey, I found somebody better than you." Then the other person says, "Oh yeah, well I didn't need you anyway." I don't know that either one of them handled the split well. And Caddies Go... ![]() Jason did what he is supposed to do. As some of you know, I'm a SeoulSisters.com poster, but you know, caddies have to maximize their earnings, and Cristie gives him a chance to do so. Now, maybe Shi Hyun will end up having a stellar year and make Jason regret his departure, but currently Cristie is the better player (sorry, Shi Hyun and all my SS brethren). I do think that having Sang Kyun Kim on her bag might be good for Shi Hyun. Where it stops, nobody knows... ![]() But maybe Jason could have just said something like, "I enjoyed my time with Shi Hyun but I felt it was time for both of us to move on. I wish her the best." Maybe then, Shi Hyun might not have felt the urge to bite back, so to speak.

Though caddy jobs can be fairly tenuous arrangements, it does seem that the Korean players go through them like wildfire. I believe Mi Hyun Kim is know to change at the drop of a hat. Some of this I believe is attributable to Korean golf daddies butting their noses into the relationships. |
