Dale, you may have some good ideas and suggestions as to why Grace "isn't Grace" right now, but unless you know her personally and know what's going on with her life, her health and her attitude, isn't it kind of hard for you to hand out a "plan" that will fix all of this?

I understand your frustration, trust me, I do, but I have to agree with the others that you're offering up a plan so she doesn't lose, not that she wins.

I like Grace, and yes, it would be great to see her back in the winner's circle, but I think there's a lot more to this than meets the eye.

Sometimes us fans take it too hard when "our" players aren't doing well.

I'm not offering a plan to put Grace at the top. I'm offering a plan to help Grace make the cut. MAKE THE CUT. She's not doing that. She's only made 18 of the last 39 cuts. She's withdrawn or been cut in 5 of the 8 tournaments she's entered this year.

Stabilize ... then improve. It will work.

That sounds more like accepting her limitations. The flaw in your plan is, what happes when there aren't four par 5's on a course? Say it's a par 70 course, with only two par fives. Is -2 acceptale?

Grace has always taken some risks. Sometimes she's been rewarded, and sometimes it has cost her. Her mental approach doesn't concern me nearly as much as her physical well- being. My concern is still her chronic back problems.

If Grace could have scores of -2 per round in a 4 round tournament, that would be 14 and 1/2 strokes better per tournament than she is averaging right now. Yes, that would be acceptable to me.

I share your concerns about her physical well being.

This is all interesting stuff, but I think I'd be leaning more towards Dale's coaching logic than most of the rest of you who seem to think Grace should continue to throw caution to the wind. I have always liked Grace and her high horse powered swing. But as Dale has pointed out so well............it isn't working. It hasn't worked in quite some time. Part maybe due to injury, but from what I see of her distance off the tee, I have my doubts about her troubles being from her back troubles. This lady has shown she can not shoot any where near par. I started to have hopes she was turning it around finally a few weeks ago. But these last 2 tournaments...........complete train wrecks. I know all of us Grace fans want to see her do well and hope she is OK in every way. But she's not and unfortunately there isn't any way to know for sure what's up unless she says something. She is not playing in either of the next two tournaments. Because of that I think Dale's coaching logic has some merit. I've read some of you think that's playing not to lose instead of playing to win. So? She's not winning folks........she's trying to make a big leap from the bottom back to the top and it isn't working. At this point, playing a course with shooting par on the par 4's and birdies for the par 5's sounds a way to build confidence for her.....when her confidence builds she can go after the par 4's more aggressively. Again..........she's already not winning tournaments.............something needs to change with her........baby steps back to the top........what's wrong with that? Other wise............well........she can't keep playing the way she is...............she'll be gone forever...........try to imagine what it must be like to go from being on top of the world, quite prominent in the golf world............to looking up from the bottom. I hope she doesn't quit.........never give up Grace........but how about taking some baby steps?????? ciao!

Oh yeah..........what I'd like to know how many courses on the LPGA tour have just two par 5's???????? I would take a -2 every round Grace plays in, at this point in time, any day of the week. Why does that seem unacceptable to some of you?
