Grace Park rediscovering path to personal freedom

Excellent article on Grace's life journey to this point, with some highs and many lows. Let us all pray that she has found the magic formula not just in her profession but more importantly in her life.

Apart from Grace's terrible injuries that have plagued her career, the article points out what we already know about the pressure put upon Korean players by their parents.

I know...I know...it's the culture, blah, blah, blah. But it's wrong and I'm glad Grace "cleared the air" with her parents. I wish her success...she was/is a definite crowd favorite on the LPGA tour.

I saw her play in an Am event in Florida when she was ?? 16 or 17. No one knew who she was, but she was undeniably a star in the making. She was so long off the tee....geez.

Nice to see her back at it today. And, thanks to TGC for the post round interview. I wish her luck. She seemed so delighted to be back.

I finally caught up with Grace as she finished on 18 today. She looked very trim and in good condition. Her caddie Brian said that she played better in the practice rounds, but that is to be expected. It is just good to have her back. She was interviewed for quite a while behind the scoring area.

When I saw Beth Ann, I told her what a nice article that was. She was pleased to hear that, and probalby will do a follow-up.

Grace looked really good in her interview on TV. A lot of fans will be happy to see her back.

It was good to see Sherri Steinhauer back as well after having surgery on both hips last year. A first-round 75 is not a bad score for her first LPGA round since 2008.

Someone else came to mind when I read about an Asian golfer respecting her parents but enough on that...

I was expecting to read even more on the pressure coming from sponsorship and the pressure to succeed. Grace was very visible on various sponsor tv commercials.
