Her status is Korea is best seen in the the number of Korean players on tour before her (there were a couple...even a couple of winners) and the number of Koreans on tour now. There is a park in her honor. There is a statue of her in a pond, simulating when she stood in that lake to hit a shot during the 1998 US Women's Open:



Of course, the young players all look up to her:
