I must have missed something.....why have they ruined the LPGA? I think they have contributed greatly to the LPGA.

Agree. Three players got me interested in the LPGA: Sophie G, Laura Davies, and Se Ri Pak.

Admin, I was referring sarcastically to Jan's statement that the Korean players were "ruining the LPGA" by not being as accessible or as quick to learn English as she thought they should. I love Se Ri and all of the Korean ladies.

My favorites were Se Ri, Dottie and Karrie. Once I started attending tournaments and actually met some of the players, I became a real fan of many of the players. But, those three got me interested.

By the way, PaulS was being sarcastic. Apparently, one of his favorites was Jan.

I did like Jan up until then, but that comment shocked me.

Please confirm that your comment is a sarcastic remark as MarinePaul states. Se Ri, in my opinion has been the most influential person in getting the LPGA to be an important world wide organization. Her golf, her personality, her looks and audacity brought millions of people in the USA, Korea and the rest of the world (me included) into the LPGA. I place her above Annika, Karrie, Votaw and, of course Bivens as the main force in the last 15 years in making the LPGA as popular as it is.

Elf, yeah, I should have made it clear in my post that I was being sarcastic. I find the Asians charming, and Se Ri is my favorite.

And not only charming, great golfers. I think they've helped the league a lot.

PaulS, being a smartass myself, I picked up on it right away. The hardest thing about posting is that people only see the words, and not the facial expression, or the inflection that would be easily noted if it were voiced. After reading the posts you made regarding Jan, I knew that you were beig sarcastic.

I know this is getting even farther from the original subject (Se Ri), but I'd forgive Jan in an instant if I found out she's retracted that comment or softened her views, but I don't know that she has.

Se Ri Pak must be worshipped like Mother Theresa or something in Korea, right? She's done so much for Korean women. Am I wrong? What is the status of her in Korea?
