GolfChannel.com will live stream Day 1 of the Solheim Cup from 2-4 p.m. ET.

The biennial competition begins Friday, Aug. 21 at Rich Harvest Farms in Sugar Grove, Ill. Golf Channel will provide televised coverage from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. GolfChannel.com will then take over live coverage for two hours, before the network returns at 4 p.m. for the conclusion of play.

Golf Channel will broadcast all three days of the event, 9 a.m.-7 p.m. ET Saturday and 11 a.m.-4:30 p.m. ET Sunday.

The Solheim Cup is the women’s version of the Ryder Cup, in which 12 Americans compete against 12 European-born players over three days of match-play competition.

The first two days will consist of both four-ball (better ball) and foursomes (alternate shot), with Sunday being 12 singles matches.

U.S. captain Beth Daniel’s team consists of: Paula Creamer, Cristie Kerr, Angela Stanford, Kristy McPherson, Nicole Castrale, Christina Kim, Brittany Lang, Morgan Pressel, Brittany Lincicome, Natalie Gulbis, Juli Inkster (captain’s pick) and Michelle Wie (captain’s pick).

European captain Alison Nicholas’ team consists of: Gwladys Nocera (France), Tania Elosegui (Spain), Diana Luna (Italy), Laura Davies (England), Sophie Gustafson (Sweden), Suzann Pettersen (Norway), Helen Alfredsson (Sweden), Catriona Matthew (Scotland), Maria Hjorth (Sweden), Becky Brewerton (Wales – captain’s pick), Janie Moodie (Scotland – captain’s pick) and Anna Nordqvist (Sweden – captain’s pick).

And here's a video interview with Beth Daniel and Nicole Castrale about Solheim:

Hi ya folks...thanks Bangkokbobby...this was the info I was looking for

Golf Channel will provide televised coverage from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. GolfChannel.com will then take over live coverage for two hours, before the network returns at 4 p.m. for the conclusion of play.

Golf Channel will broadcast all three days of the event, 9 a.m.-7 p.m. ET Saturday and 11 a.m.-4:30 p.m. ET Sunday.

so lemme get this straight...Friday's round is 9 am - 2 PM...thus making it 3am- 8 AM Hawaii time Golf channel TV

then...Golf Channel computer takes over for 2 PM - 4 PM...thus making it 8 AM to 10AM Hawaii time

then Golf Channel TV Returns for the conclusion....and this is ONLY for Friday

on Saturday....Golf Channel TV is 9 AM- 7PM...thus making it 3 AM- 1 PM Hawaii time

on Sunday...Golf Channel TV is 11 am- 4:30 PM...thus making it 5 am-10:30 AM Hawaii time

whew....I sure hope that the Golf Channel Times and the Hawaii Times are "STILL" a six hour difference....yikes!!! I hope we are NOT talking Chicago Time...I think it is a 5 hour difference

holy Time Bomb Batman...will someone please come to my rescue....was my calculations correct as far as Hawaii time...how does the "Crazy" daylight savings thingy play into this...now this would surely drive me nuts

whew....I fweel a little faint and dizzy...I think I will go and get me a soda Pop!!

anyway...have a good day folks...and again, thanks a bundle Bangkokbobby...see ya!!

I love Christina's quote about Michelle...don't mess with Wiesy while Christina's around!!

Kim's take: "She's our little Bohemian. She's a free spirit. It's unbelievable how remarkable a human being she is. She's my baby sister and I love her to death and I will firmly defend her like a mama bear."

Michelle a little Bohemian? I wonder if that's the Hawaii girl in her coming out...
