Very exciting conclusion for day 2 - and very exhausting to watch. Spouse and I are worn out!
Thanks for the pics - BKB

Yeah BKB 8-8. And great pictures.

I soo wished we could have snatched a half from one of those two matches at the end. Suzann's putt on #17.

Michelle Wie - I thought she couldn't putt. She's certainly changed that. She played out her mind today. Probably been the best in the US side so far. But I liked Anna Nordqvist today. Maria Hjorth played well but she could have done better with her tee shot on the #17 when Cristie had hit her shot in the water. She got it on the green where it was always going to be difficult to get it down in two. And I'd have definitely preferred it if it had been Anna who was the one at the end trying to make that last putt on #18.

I also wish Diana Luna had got another match - perhaps instead of Helen this afternoon. She played really well but was only given the one doubles match in the foursomes this morning.

bangkokbobby: I have not posted here for ages because some moderators treat MW fans as dirt. But I had to post today to congratulate you in fantastic, informative posts. Thank you.
And BTW, congratulations to the mainstay of a floundering USA Team: MICHELLE WIE

Thanks, guys and gals...you're welcome...what can I say...I've caught Solheim Fever!!

So now it's 8-8...who do you folks see winning it? Still in the US Team's favor or will the pressure of having to win matches Sunday instead of cruising with a cushion, force the US to press too much and allow Europe to shock the golf world?

a few Christina pictures...not a good afternoon...keep your head up Christina...you helped get two points already for the team...nobody is perfect...

Much as I thought this European team, before the Solheim began, looked old and stale, and much as I disagreed with the Captain's picks,I am enjoying the fight they are putting up.

I'm almost warming to them.

I think Alison Nicholas' selections were better on day two than on the opening day ;and, but for a couple of baulky putters,it could have been an even better day.

Mind you,one could say the same about a few wayward putts on the American side.

And,of course,a European win would have the added bonus of shutting Christina Kim up.

Which would be nice...

What on earth is that headgear Christina has been wearing? Looks like those aerodynamic helmets the cyclists wear.

Anyway - to answer your question bangkokbobby - I think USA are massive favourites to win tomorrow. It's singles after all. I think we needed a lead to stand any chance really. Although Alison has done a great job and it's because she's installed a belief in the players that they can win the Solheim.

But being coldly realistic - I think USA. But I would love to be proved wrong.

It a backwards Kangol

btw, I feel like an idiot...well, that's not really news...but I mentioned that Cristie Kerr nearly hit a swan when she dunked a shot...I was surprised that the swan was so cool and didn't move...probably because, as I've now learned...it was a FAKE swan...d'oh!!!

BKB - great reporting and pics. Were would Team USA be now, if MW had not been included? She is not the be all of be all for the team, yet without her how do your answer the great play of another super rookie Anna Nordqvist, who is also on fire. Best be some bows for the rookies coming now. Poor Pat, Laura and Juli, their support was yesterdays summers, yet I feel they have still something to say come singles Sunday.
