Golf Channel Critique - Solheim

Question: The Golf Channel is appearing to be remarkably neutral in its coverage of the Solheim. Is this because the broadcasts are being viewed outside the U.S.? There have been repeated comments about about the success of the Euro's versus the U.S. disappointments so I'm not understanding if this a very objective slant is intended for an international broadcast or not, but, for me, the broadcasts have been awfully neutral versus pro USA intended for a USA broadcast audience.

Brian Hammond - blah and bye bye. This guy must own majority stock in the Golf Channel!

We have our own commentators and analysts,so they aren't doing it for our benefit.

Do you really want cheerleaders in the broadcast booth, though ?...

I "taped" the Cup and blew through most of the comments. But the ones I watched were quite balanced both in the booth and on course. I appreciated this. Also, these same reporters and commentators have to work the rest of the time with these same players.

I think TGC did a good job. They were fair to both teams, and gave credit to both teams when it was due.

Yes I also liked their commentaries, informative, fair and interesting. :-)

On one shot you could literally see the strobe effect of the black putting line as the ball spun during the approach. Even the commentators noticed (I am glad they did because for a moment I thought I was imagining this).

This had to be the best coverage of womens golf ever. The rest of the year will probably seem like a let down. I hope not.
