Future USA Solheim teams will be of all nations

When I look at pictures of the American Curtis cup and Jr Solheim team members, I realized I am seeing all nationalities looking back at me. Does anyone else enjoy seeing the "USA - the melting pot of the world" that I see?

I dunno...I see a lot of first generation Asian-Americans on the US teams.

In the future....who knows? Maybe all Asian-Americans.

And that.... is a future statistic. :-)

And almost here in Calgary, 1/4 going on 1/3 strong.... like walking the world everyday, on the sidewalks in CowTown. Eh Putter.

You got that right GT! Sometimes you have to stop and remember where you are!

Speaking of "people of the world" and Cowtown - this always kinda makes me chuckle - have you seen, in your travels downtown, the guy all dressed up in a formal western suit with a white cowboy hat on over his turban? He has the same thing on everyday! Maybe he's some sort of tourist attraction, dunno. I'm assuming his intentions are to "fit in" with Calgary's image, but he stands out like a sore thumb! Rather humorous.

A turban and a cowboy hat? I can't wait until my Alaska cruise next year. We'll be sailing out of Calgary. I may have to go in a day early just to see that.

Half of the Jr. Solheim Cup team appear to be Asian-Americans. Look at the national Spelling Bee --it appears to be mostly Asian-Americans. Look at high achieving kids in lots of disciplines. There are lots of children of immigrants, many from Asia. Increasing numbers from Eastern Europe.

Where are the other kids? Sitting on their asses, playing video games, getting fat on fast food.

Ha... no, not seen him.... but when the annual Stampede Show was on, there were many 'styles' tying to be western. Gotta live it for a while sometimes to get it right I guess. Now I can just imagine me in Hawaii, (where I have never ever been), trying to fit in.... no I better not.... or I well never ever go.

I may have to lurk downtown with my camera sometime and get a pic of this character.

MP, I'm assuming you're FLYING out of Calgary and not sailing out - otherwise, maybe I'll see your ship cruising down the Bow River! lol

Yep, flying out. We're We're sailing out of Alaska and ending up in Vancouver, then there's a train through some of Canada that ends in Calgary. My wife was quick to correct me on the when and where. All I do is write the checks.
