Interesting also is that Sarah Lee (Korean) was born in England, and as such would be eligible to play for Europe. She isn't a member of LET and has had some hit and miss years, maybe she should have a think about playing in Europe.

Certainly, this seems the first step to being a future Captain...

Don't you have to be a member of the LET to play on the European Solheim team, just like you have to be a member of the LPGA to play o the US team?

Took you a while to reply, Blue, I posted that way back in May!

Of course, she isn't a LET member, I said she wasn't, but I also said MAYBE she should THINK about playing in Europe. I didn't say anything about her being chosen for the team, I was merely pointing out for reasons of birth she'd be eligible for the Euro team.

She's NOT a LET member? Boy, that surprises me.

Maybe she should join Oprah and promote Australian tourism instead!

can't wait till Annika and Paula (or Michelle) get involved in a rules dispute. I can envision an infinite amount of posts here and the golf channel boards.

Seems like a moot point, since she's not an LET member and nowhere near good enough to be on the Solheim Cup team even if she were.

There are lots of players who were born in countries different from the countries of their current nationality.

There are no, or almost no players, where this distinction made the difference in them being on a Solheim team or not. I can't think of any, actually.
