Yes, seems like this is serious... I think she needs to quit the whole season, get some rest, recover form her injuries or whatever she has that's stopping her from playing and comeback next year as strong as ever.

JRo has 14 events with two DNS. Her four withdrawals after the first round go as WDC (withdrawal with credit). So she has 12 tournaments played, and the limit for taking a major medical exemption is 12. In other words, if she plays one more event then she can't take a major medical, so if she were going to shut it down for the year, she needs to do it now. Of course, all of the preceding requires that her problem, whatever it is, falls into a category eligible for such an exemption. |

What is the importance of the exemption? Do LPGA players lose their exemption like PGA players lose their tour cards? Are there winner exemptions for winning a major or something? Seems like a lot of new / young players...........how many can officially be on LPGA? |
