First off, Dangerbubba....no one said anything "negative" about JRo. The questions are regarding her large numbers of WD's from tournaments, and fans wondering what was going on. It was a reasonable question. I'm sure similar questions would have been asked in the Annika folder or the Inkster folder or whomever ...IF they were WD'ing with the same regularity that Jennifer does. Fans would wonder...what's the problem?

Regarding your last statement, as I quoted, you seem to be suggesting that JRo's fans are fine in "defending" her, but Wie's fans can't "defend" the constant barrage of negative posts and remarks...regardless of topic....about their favorite player...in HER OWN FOLDER?

Bit of a double standard there, Bubba.

Get it? No one came to Jenny's folder and said ..."HAHAHAHAHA!!! She WD again...what a wuss." No one called her names like the Big "Queasy." There were legitimate concerns regarding whatever problems she has. It had nothing to do with 'defending' or negative.

But...you probably don't see it that way...huh, Bubba?

I don't see how LoJo could miss the negative comments in this thread... it was the first post. Maybe it's because the thread is more than one page. Here's what we J.Ro fans have an issue with...

In the future, LoJo, I recommend asking one of your older brothers or sisters to read the whole thread before you ask them to write a reply for you.

That's a pretty odd attitude db, you would rather have fans of a player create their own web site then post on mylpga? I'd love to have more posts here from JRO fans or fans of any other player! Makes for a good mix and good (hopefully positive) discussions.

I am definitely with you on that one PW. It is nice to see players have their own sites but it would be lovely if all fans could join us here at myLPGA. Danny and the other JRo fans should get credit for joining us here even though they have their own site. Now, if we could only get more players to come here.

You got me, can someone explain how a bee sting is her personal life and not up for examination? If, as a fan, I have travelled halfway across the world to see her play, I'm standing on the first tee and she doesn't turn up, well 'bee sting, but no allergic reaction' doesn't really cut it, imo ... sorry. Yes, I would be very concerned to know she hadn't had an allergic reaction and whether she'd gone to the hospital, but apparently that would be none of my business either.

IF she has something else going on in her life which is making her participation in events a problem, then say 'due to personal (or family) reasons', end of story, acceptable. IF she is carrying an ongoing injury then take time out, people understand. What golf watchers don't undertand is not being there for seeimingly bizarre reasons.

mrJRO, if I and others have no idea what we're talking about or are not basing our comments on fact, perhaps you'd be prepared to enlighten us as to this latest incident.

heddwyn,

I would love to be able to enlighten you on this latest incident, but all I know about it is that she got stung by a bee, and could not play. I have access to the same press reports as you do and that is it. ( I know you feel you should get more...I do not.)

I do not know what additional information you are looking for, the press released she was stung by a bee, and they have released a reason each time she has withdrawn.( How much enlightenment do you need?) I understand your point that when fans travel to a tournament to watch her play they are upset when she does not play. I am upset when it happens to me as well, but if she is telling everyone why she is not playing and no one seems to be content with the answers, then why bother giving any more information. Should she make up a very dramatic excuse that will get everyone excited and start all kinds of drama? (Oh boy, wouldn't that be great!!)

She has a bad wrist, that sometimes feels good enough to play, and if she hits it wrong during a round it becomes too painful to play. I am quite certain if she felt she could not play going into a tournament she would not play. She has taken two off-seasons of rest and the wrist feels great, but if she hits it wrong, it starts hurting. (We will let her doctors handle that one)

Please look at it like this, when she plays in an area that has one event per year, if she plays one or two rounds and her wrist starts hurting her and she has to stop playing, her fans in that area get to see her play two rounds of golf, if she does not try to play they might not get to see her at all that year. I would take the two over none.

Thanks for your concern with Jennifer,

BTW- This is an awesome website.

As always, I'd love to read RESPECTFUL posts but seems like some members still take this TOO serious...

About Jennifer, well hasn't been her bests eason, that's a fact. What I think is, if she decides to WD because of her wrist, a sting or whatever... fans should support her decisions (as they've been doing) no matter the reason.

Anyways, just my opinion and yes, it would be amazing to see more fans and players around....

Have a nice day

If Michelle Wie has her own Website...all the Wiemaniacs can have a picnic there without being bothered by what you call the Wie Bashers. As simple as that! This is MyLPGA.com site and everytime who look at the home page all you see is Wie's name on the topic. It's all the Wiemaniacs thread...so you are tempted to response.

Don't forget, you are on Jenny's folder and you just said it.

Again, if big Queasy has her own Website...no one will call her names or the wiemaniac
because like the JennyRosales.com and the Seoul Sister site...no one is bashing each other because bashers are not welcomed. If you don't believe me, visit their site.

I did not say the Wiemanians can not post here. All I'm saying is if they don't want to be called names and don't want to be bashed...they should have their own site and bar all those who are bashing them. That's all. Otherwise, don't complain.

But...you probably don't see it that way...huh, LoGo?[/QUOTE]

Danny - apparently you are privy to much more info about JRo than the rest of us, and I understand that you can't say much until the "official" word is given. I think the problem with this whole thing is that it seems like every other tournament Jen withdraws. We hear about wrists, ankles, new shoes, cut fingers, and now bee stings. I've been to many tournaments and have met and talked with JRo, and she's a wonderful person, but you can't really blame some people for rolling their eyes and wondering what the heck the injury is THIS time that made her withdraw. I'm with DJ in agreeing that if she has a "recurring" injury, she should look after it and take some time off until such time that it doesn't bother her anymore. Apparently she's being fined for these withdrawals - would it not be better to just take the time off rather than pay to take the time off after the tournament starts?

JRo, with her different look and outgoing personality brought a new dimension to the LPGA and myself and I'm sure others, would love to see her win many more tournaments, but this is getting just a little silly when she withdraws more often than she plays.

Hopefully she'll get whatever it is figured out and get back on track.
