Smile Back To Cross Handed!

In her pre-tournament interview at the Evian, Webbie stated that she is back putting cross handed.

I remember that in 1998 she went to the Titleist/ Scotty Cameron putting test lab, and found that her misses tended to be left, due to a slight pull.

Upon switching to a left hand low grip her shoulders levelled out, and she started making everything.

The fact that the 2007 tests replicate the 1998 data bodes well for Karrie!

With left hand low we might see a return to that straight knee flex as well.

Back of the cup, Webbie!

Wayne - I notice you're from Edmonton - will you be going to the Canuck Open in a few weeks?

Wink

Putter,

I'll be there, although I'm not sure how much time I will be able to be there.

That being said, you can be sure I'll be there on Sunday if Webbie is in the hunt!

I missed seeing Karrie win her first Major at Priddis Greens- to my everlasting regret!

Looks like she is ramping up for the British Open rather well, she's currently tied for 8th @ the Evian, late in the third round.

I'll be there volunteering for the week so I'll pretty much get to see the whole thing. Have been given Sunday off, so that's a nice little touch.

Don't mean to rub it in, but I saw pretty much every shot from Webbie the last day of Priddis in '99 - what a great tournament that was. I'm sure this one will be just as good. Great work by CN to up the ante and move this tournament into "first class" territory again.

Maybe I'll see you around the course - I'm assuming you'll have an Aussie T-shirt on?

NO, I'm not looking for a date, just be a friendly Albertan! Of course, you're right about the beer - you know me too well - how scary!

Scary indeed!

Hope you two Canucks have a great time at the CN Open, eh?

We'll all be looking for some first hand reports, eh?

Oh, you know there'll be reports! They may not be "hole by hole" explanations of how someone played, but there'll be reports!

Not sure if you know or not, but the Canuck Open is being broadcast by a "local broadcaster" - this will be picked up by TGC on the weekend only (I think), and I'm sure it's going to be the same as the Evian - only the local announcers. You may want to start pulling your hair out now. Last time we had a guy that covers mostly football and hockey and for a balance we get Jocelyn Bourassa as the "color person" - now Jocelyn, while a very nice person, has been out of golf for eons and I'm sure we'll hear some very interesting versions of player names. Of course, as long as she says "eh?" at the end of every comment, I'm sure folks will forgive her!

Smile

Putter,

I'm not so sure about the Aussie t-shirt, although I'm sure I have one laying around somewhere!

Let me know where you will be located on the course, and perhaps we can hoist a beverage together.

Hopefully, it will serve to commemorate another win for Webbie.
