Tiger Woods 'in rehab for sex addiction', say US reports

Rusty: How do you cure sex addiction? enter a rehabilitation clinic for sexual addiction, he will either come out a celebrant leave the clinic and become the first pro golfer priest, or after 5 weeks of no sex come out horny as hell and have sex with the first thing that moves. Which do you think it will be?

TIGER Woods has been reported as having entered an up-market American clinic that specialises in rehabilitation for sexual addiction.
People.com, quoting sources, said that word had emerged that 34-year-old Tiger Woods "entered The Meadows, a clinic in Wickenburg, Arizona, sometime around the holidays – a rumor that first made the rounds last month. The clinic specializes in substance abuse, as well as compulsive disorders such as gambling or sex addiction."

"A sex-therapy expert who claims to be familiar with the situation says Woods, 34, showed up in Wickenburg around New Year's and would likely plan to stay for four to five weeks of treatment. 'He should be out by Valentine's Day or thereabouts', says the source."

While there has been no official confirmation that Woods is in the clinic, mystery continues over his whereabouts - he has not been since publicly since the sex scandal erupted last year.

On its official website, the Meadows clinic says: "In the high Sonoran Desert with mountain views and clear skies, The Meadows provides a path to personal completeness and integrity, for those seeking treatment for trauma and addictions, thus serving the individual with a lifelong recovery process.

"The Meadows is a multidisorder inpatient facility specializing in the treatment of a broad range of addictions. The facility's intensive treatment focuses on drug and alcohol addiction, compulsive behaviors, anxiety disorders and mood disorders."

The Meadows, in describing how it treats patients, says on its website: "A goal-oriented treatment schedule is customized around each patient’s personal progress in recovery. Therapeutic approaches include small group sessions, intensive boundary work, individual psychiatric sessions, topic groups, educational videos, recreational and art therapy, spirituality counseling, nutritional consultation, yoga, tai chi, acupuncture, community meetings and 12-Step recovery. Peer support and interaction are integral parts of The Meadows’ healing process.

"Treatment may combine other successful therapeutic approaches, including experiential work, grief sessions and family participation programs, as patients learn to change destructive patterns and achieve more fulfilling lives."

Woods' sex scandal has rocked golf. The sport's only billionaire has taken an indefinite break from the game as he tries to sort out his life.

His wife Elin Nordegren, the mother of his two children, is reportedly seeking a $330million divorce settlement after the golfer was linked to as many as 18 women.

According to TMZ.com, Nordegren has moved out of their Florida home and is believed to be renting a mansion nearby. In the only sightings of Nordegren since the scandal emerged, she has been not wearing her wedding ring.

TMZ.com has obtained "photos of the five bedroom, five bath, 6,000 sq. ft. mansion where Elin Nordegren has been living with her two kids. It's near the gated community where she lived with Tiger in Windermere, Florida."

Meanwhile, General Motors said its agreement with Tiger Woods that gave him free vehicles for personal use ended two weeks ago, USA Today reported today.

One of those vehicles was the Cadillac Escalade Woods crashed on November 27, the incident that sparked a series of allegations about the golfer's infidelities and resulted in him losing several high-profile endorsement deals, including Tag Heuer watches and Accenture consulting.

Woods' endorsement deal with GM's Buick ended in 2008, but he was still allowed to use several vehicles, including the Cadillac, throughout 2009 as part of the deal.

GM spokeswoman Dayna Hart said the arrangement was already set to end on December 31, before the November 27 crash and ensuing sex scandal.

The vehicles Woods was using have been returned to GM.

Woods, in his last statement so far on the scandal and posted on his official website, said: "I am deeply aware of the disappointment and hurt that my infidelity has caused to so many people, most of all my wife and children. I want to say again to everyone that I am profoundly sorry and that I ask forgiveness. It may not be possible to repair the damage I've done, but I want to do my best to try.

"I would like to ask everyone, including my fans, the good people at my foundation, business partners, the PGA Tour, and my fellow competitors, for their understanding. What's most important now is that my family has the time, privacy, and safe haven we will need for personal healing.

"After much soul searching, I have decided to take an indefinite break from professional golf. I need to focus my attention on being a better husband, father, and person.

"Again, I ask for privacy for my family and I am especially grateful for all those who have offered compassion and concern during this difficult period."

He probably needs castration!

My question is: How can the U.S.A. find Osama Bin Laden when they can not even find Tiger Woods?

I well say one thing, there well sure be a lot of pressure on him... and some kind of counseling well be needed, sexual or other wise. What ever happens, I hope that both of them work it out, so no more get hurt. Money and sex are not everything in the real world.... but they come close. :-)

A story that was told at the Sex Rehab Center:

A man goes out golfing. He is on the second hole when he notices a
frog sitting next to the green.
He thinks nothing of it and is about to shoot when he hears, "Ribbit 9 Iron."

The man looks around and doesn't see anyone.
Again, he hears, "Ribbit 9 Iron."
He looks at the frog and decides to prove the frog wrong, puts the club
away, and grabs a 9 iron.
Boom! He hits it 10 inches from the cup.

He is shocked. He says to the frog, "Wow that's amazing. You must
be a lucky frog?"
The frog replies, "Ribbit Lucky frog."
The man decides to take the frog with him to the next hole.
"What do you think frog?" the man asks.
"Ribbit 3 wood."
The guy takes out a 3 wood and Boom! Hole in one.
The man is befuddled and doesn't know what to say.

By the end of the day, the man golfed
the best game of golf in his life and asks
the frog, "OK where to next?"
The frog replies, "Ribbit Las Vegas ."

They go to Las Vegas and the guy says,
"OK frog, now what?"

The frog says, "Ribbit Roulette."
Upon approaching the roulette table,
the man asks, "What do you think I should bet?"

The frog replies, "Ribbit $3000, black 6."
Now, this is a million-to-one shot to win, but after the golf game the man figures what the heck.
Boom!
Tons of cash comes sliding back across
the table.

The man takes his winnings and buys the best room in the hotel.

He sits the frog down and says, "Frog, I don't know how to repay you.
You've won me all this money and I am forever grateful."
The frog replies, "Ribbit Kiss Me."
He figures why not, since after all the frog did for him, he deserves it.
With a kiss, the frog turns into not so Gorgeous girl.

"And that is how the girl ended up in my room, Elin. So help me God or my name is not Tiger Woods."

finally, he speaks...should be interesting...you know, I heard what Ernie Els and others have said about the timing...I have no problem with the timing...let's be realistic here...only golf diehards care about the timing...ABC, NBC and CBS are all scheduled to carry the presser live...that's unbelievable...they're treating it like it's the State of the Union...whether it warrants it or not, it has mushroomed into a national event...I don't think it warrants that...but obviously network brass does...now, putting aside who owns the rights to the Accenture Match Play...if all three networks could broadcast the Accenture Match Play live and preempt other programming...well, I won't even finish that thought...Ernie, and others complaining, face the facts, more people are interested in what Tiger has to say today than even know about the Accenture Match Play...is that unfair...maybe...but get over it...it is not disrespectful to the game...the sooner Tiger deals with this, takes his lumps and gets back to playing, the better for the game...and you know what, Accenture bailed on him...so what fealty should he show them...although I have heard he called the sponsors and asked them if the timing was a problem and they said no...if Accenture is ok with the timing, Ernie should be too...

...HOWEVER...

...what is lame is that he is not taking questions...I think he should...because the questions will come eventually no matter what...I don't think he's that stupid not to know he'll have to face questions at some point...repeatedly...if he thinks he can just say "it's personal" (which it is) and never field a question...well, he can refuse to answer...that's his right...but no matter how many tournaments he goes on to win, he should not make the media his enemy if it isn't necessary...I don't know who his PR people are..but this decision...curious...

...at the end of the day...he slept around...the problem is that he was married...well, also his clean cut image...maybe he should just stay single...I mean, image is one thing...but if he were single would he need to be in sex addiction therapy...he'd just be a young, filthy rich, powerful man who sleeps with multiple women...there are a lot of those running around...from all walks of life...from corporate CEOs to sports stars to rock stars...

...but like others, I am curious as to what he'll say and not say...and say that he will say and not say in the future...so far, I think he has bungled the PR from November to present...and not allowing questions doesn't seem like an improvement...but we'll see...maybe I'll be surprised...
