Hey Saint, is it hard for you to do? I mean, stick your head in a bull's ass and watch the sunrise!

Maybe that'll calm you down a little bit.

What people want from Tiger is for him to not be a jerk and obviously no amount of statements on his web site, press conferences (with neither the press nor the conference part), or excuses that he's in sex rehab will change that.

What should he have said? I honestly don't know what you people want from him. Tiger has always seemed to me to be an arrogant jerk, so to want him to appear to be anything else is asking him to be phony, which is what you're accusing him of now.

Tiger Woods is an athlete, plain and simple. It's ridiculous to try to hold him to a higher standard than anyone else. I seriously doubt that anyone on this site has never done anything they're ashamed of or embarrassed of. If you don't respect Tiger, that's up to you. But, none of us here are important enough that Tiger owes us anything more than he's already given us, which is some great golf for several years.

Wow! I did not know Tiger Woods was mentioned in the Bible? Maybe he is an incarnation of King David. Remember in the old Testament when King David committed adultery with Queen Bathsheba?
Maybe someday Tiger Woods will write a new version of the book of Psalm.

I agree with MP...Tiger Woods is an athlete. He is one of the most successful, if not the most successful golfer of his generation. One thing most of us did not know, howerver, and he was less known for playing another sport until it came out recently.
He is also a pro-bowler. In fact he is a unique bowler...he uses two balls and one pin when he bowls and it always ends up in the canal!

This comment that makes me think about when Tiger comes back, particularly the statement that what people want from Tiger is for him not to be a jerk...

...I might be speaking a little off subject...but Tiger has not always been the model citizen in terms of his behavior when playing...now, to be fair...a lot of golfers have been moody, grumpy or hurled audible obscenities...but when so many cameras are pointed at him...we get to hear and see his behavoir...we know Suzann Pettersen can get animated...I've seen Morgan Pressel pound away with her club after a bad shot...Karrie Webb has at times been a little grumpy with the crowd...and I haven't even gotten to the men yet...so I'm not saying Tiger is unique...

...but will fans be less willing to give him a pass with that kind of on course behavior now? Will we expect him to spend more time with autograph seekers after rounds...look, I've never been to a PGA event so I can only go by what others tell me...but for a guy who was so beloved by fans...will he need to up his interaction and clean up his behavoir at tournaments...

...I've watched the "apology" again...and I do think he was mostly sincere...he's a golfer, not a public speaker...and one can imagine how embarrassing it had to be for somebody who has guarded his privacy so much to make a public apology carried live on major networks...so I don't want to critique his delivery or body language...I still question why hold a televised event if you're not going to field questions...he can apologize to friends and family in private...he chose to apologize publicly...

Tiger doesn't owe me a damn thing. I don't want an apology. I only thought he should apology because it would be a good PR move for him in his effort to undue the huge damage he did to his own career. It's an approach that's worked pretty well for all the other guys who screwed up their career by screwing ... well you get the point.

I was surprised that he hid away for three months and when he finally was dragged kicking and screaming to the apology microphone, he came across so fake and scripted. He should have called Eliot Spiter or Mark Sanford for advice on how to do this with a little more sincerity.

This article by Sally Jenkins kind of sums it up, though: "Woods and his handlers staged a fake news conference to apologize for being fake."

I really care what Sally Jenkins has to say.

Why does anybody care who Tiger Woods is screwing? My God, you'd think he's the only person in the world who ever cheated on his wife. Frankly, I'm more concerned about my own sex life than I am his.

When who he is screwing causes him to put his golf career on hold indefinitely, I care. That's the only reason.

You may not like Sally Jenkins, but I'm surprised you didn't agree with what she said. It seems totally inline with what you've been arguing.
