I have my moments, Elf. Actually, I think the great thing about the tournaments is that we've gotten to know the other players outside of just our interest in the LPGA.

Ha.... still have not got to see the IMAX 3D version of Avatar, sold out again.... I just gotta go earlier. :-)

Thinking back on the 3D version I had seen, I remember some things that happened to me when watching it. There I was watching, and then I noticed I was holding my breath, and had to think to let it out again.... this movie literally took my breath away, and not once but several times. Other times I noticed I was getting very emotional.... like the tear feelings one gets in real life.... this emotion though was not fear, or sadness or loneliness .... it was of happiness and joy.

Now as I think back to that time I see why, the movie gives you that sense of freedom, most of us wish for or would grave for, like the ability to fly free and soaring like the birds. At times it almost seems like you are getting this feeling or succeeding at something, that normally would move you from your inner soul. That from a movie, is outstanding. When it can effect its audience to such degrees, this is not your average movie! And it was not just me it effected that way, I could hear it from many others also 'in-to' the film, for it does not so much blow your away, rather it absorbs you until you are no long just viewing, but inter-reacting within the scenes on screen. Few movies have ever done, (or come close), to drawing me so deeply in as this movie Avatar has.

Anyways, since I like it so much and think you could also, if you had some more examples to watch.... so I included 3 more links.

These links you can also get from the second post I did, (a list of 10 from Yahoo Movies). These 3 links I think are worth the view, but make up your own mind on that.... the first two are 1 or 1 1/2 minutes long, but the last is 22 minutes long. :-)

Update : Small problem here, all the links first start at "Your Not On Pandora Anymore'.... you well have to manually go to the titles below, which are on that page numbers 7, 8, and 10. Sorry about that. :)

http://movies.yahoo.com/movie/1809804784/video/17077180

(1) This clip is called 'Video Log', and gives a closer look at the characters in the Pandora world.

(2) This is called 'Getting Out Of Dodge' and gives a little closer look at the make up, and nature of Pandora.

(3) This long version called 'Creating The World Of Pandora', gives the inside look at how they put the movie together. Here also you well be introduced to 3 different types of cameras, the Virtual Camera, the 3D Camera which does both 2D & 3D at the same time, and the Simul-Cam. Interesting stuff, and worth the long viewing time. Lots here that is 'tech-no crap' stuff.... but if one thinks back to movies of the past, well even makeup and lighting, and costumes were considered 'tech-no crap' once-upon-a-time. :-)

Hey Bro...How many bottles of tequila did you consume before you entered the theater to see that movie?
Just wondering!

Avatar - Number one in box-office for all movies ever made !!!

Note the other top 5 box-office movies in this article.... all are of the 'tech-no crap' type, (as MP would put it). I guess you are in the minority when it comes to the new movies MP, or maybe we old dogs are just slow to change in this speed-ed up crazy world. Ah.... I still do miss the old RR Steam Engines though... I can in my minds eye still see them, way down in the valley, white steam billowing, and shrill whistle blowing to let the villagers know they well soon be there.... those days were special for me to. :-)

Greentee, I'm honestly glad you enjoyed the movie. See it again a hundered times is you want. I think I'll go watch my DVD of Shane, than follow it by watching 12 Angry Men.

For those fans of Shane, is he alive or dead at the end of the movie when he rides into the mountains.

Jack Palance plays the total embodiment of evil it such a subtle way.
