Thumbs up Correction

Gotta correct the report made by one of the sports reporters we love so well.
He wrote a nice piece about Luke Donald being the first to win the money title on both the PGA and Euro tours. A good feat and congrats to Luke.
HOWEVER...Annika beat him to it by winning both LPGA and LET money titles in 1995.
And so it goes.....

But Annika is a woman, Buzzer, you should know by now that doesn't count for anything! ;)

I'd also add that Yani *WOULD* have won the LET money title this year too if she had elected to become a member of their organization like Ai Miyazato.

My math may be a bit off but I calculated her 2011 total to be 454,865.37 euros to Ai's "official" money-leading 363,079.68 euros. Yani just happened to win *ALL* four of the LET tournaments she choose to participate in.

Congrats to Luke Donald for leading both PGA Tour and Euro Tour money list as a member. Annika Sorenstam did that on LPGA and LET in 1995.

Then, your buddy, Ron Sirak is confused. If your "quote" is right, the article says both PGA(not LPGA)Tour and Euro Tour. Annika did it on the LPGA tour, not PGA Tour.

Isn't it more that Luke Donald's 'feats' are being publicised as being a first by anyone, rather than the first by a male golfer?

Winning the

PGA and European Tour

and winning the

LPGA and LET

are separate things.

It's apples and oranges to compare the two.

They are separate things, Blue...but my post was about Luke being the FIRST.
Actually Annika was the FIRST to win both money titles.
Both Luke & Annika play golf professionally...you know...for money...on different but similar associations.

Heddwyn gets the award for being able to decipher the apparently enigmatic post FIRST.
As one of our friends would say, Heddwyn....."Sheesh!"
