Not much is being said about Paula on the boards but she may be the one to beat come Sunday. I can't believe this beautiful, talented, pressure tested girl doesn't get more of a following. I know if I was a young guy she would be at the top of my interest list on this tour.

Hi ya Cleo....I agree with you....if there is a more "Apple Pie and Chevrolet and All American" golfer on tour....I don't know who it is....and to top it all off....her parents are terriffic people too....very very down to earth type....I like them a lot....anyway....I think she will be just like Phil Mickelson.....once he started to gather his fans together....his gallery and fans were something to behold....anyway.....have a great day....see ya!!

A very interesting comment made by Paula was that the only thing Annika has on her is about 2 club lengths.

Yes, I picked that up by looking over some old posts which can be both amusing and sometimes prophetic.

The wink of mine was in jest but remember it was the media that brought up the Paula vs. Annika incident last week and the quote I used was from just before the ADT championship. By the way, Annika thrashed(in "lorena style") the field at that Samsung.

It certainly would seem that Paula, the vet, now knows, if she hadn't already, that more than just a distance factor separate her from Annika.

Let's face it, even though those 2 have "buried the hachet", Paula wanted to beat Annika in the worst way. I'd say that extra bit of incentive likely hurt Paula going down the stretch and into the playoff, too,too much emotion in that situation.

One other thing that Annika has on Paula is about 70 wins. I'm a fan of Paula's, but she's got a long way to go before that type of comparison can be made.

Yes. Paula is also one of my favorite players on tour. I believe we sometimes forget that she is only 21 years old, and hopefullyy she will keep getting better.

My only concern, is that Paula (and a lot of the younger players see their lack of distance as their biggest drawback. I am sorry, but distance is only one aspect. What is the point of being long, if your accuracy is lacking?

Also, creativity, and mental toughness are very important. Annika has shown us that even at 80% she is a force to be reckon with. Hopefully, this experience will make Paula a stronger player. I have no doubt that it will.

A very fair point that distance isn't everything, one only has to see the wildness of Laura Davies to realise that. Nonetheless, when you have to beat a player like Lorena who is both long and straight, then giving 40 yards away every hole is a lot .

I'm constantly surprised how short Paula, Morgan and Nathalie are off the tee- less than 240 yards for a fulltime professional golfer is pretty pathetic, especially on fairways mown shorter than many greens. They're all basically more than athletic enough to be much longer surely. Even the Peanut is hitting it past them !
