History repeats itself

I remember how conservative the medical profession was in treating lyme disease years ago here in PA.

20 years ago my wife went to the holy land with the church. While in Egypt she contracted flu like symptome, and it looked like she would be unable to come home. Had the hotel call a local doctor who gave her an injection in the vein of antibiotics. Got her on her feet so she could finish the trip home. When home the ministers 17 year old daughter got the same flu symptoms and spent 2 weeks in the hospital, and was ill the rest of the summer. When my wife showed the doctors at the pittsburgh hospital what the Egyptian doctor gave her, the doctors here in Pittsburgh said it was illegal and too dangerous to inject that strong of an antibiotic iv even in the hospital. FYI, my wife was ok in just a week or two after the injection in egypt.
