You know....I just don't think there's going to be a whole big hoopla about this event. It was a bit different when you had the world's #1 and the world's #1...haha...going head to head in a silly season event. Even then, no one really remembers who won. In my opinion...and this isn't a "bash"...but replacing Annika with Paula just doesn't make it. Maybe the Mexicans will see it differently. I think they should have gone to a two-woman team format.... Something like Ochoa/Pettersen vs. Creamer/Wie or Creamer/Gulbis or Creamer/Kerr. People would be interested in that. Let's face it...it's an exhibition event, so you gotta get the most bang for the buck in terms of hype for these silly season events. |

Lorena and Paula are the two most popular players on the LPGA. Sounds like the right choice to me. |

I agree with you Lojo, actually the event was out of the map until late May, and rumors said it was going to be a team format, guess other players rather stay home and practice. Paula creamer has lots of fans here, so I think it won't be as bad as many might think, let's wait and see... Buzzer and Benito.... well it's been hectic since I graduated, lots of work and now I'm taking a course about "new journalism" it's every Saturday from June to December, sooooo I'm kind of "back to school" I'll try to post regularly though!!! Have a nice day! |

It is cumbersome for the first few holes but it is also a cut-throat competition as no one wants to get eliminated early and that's what I like about it.

Well, it sounds like the golf was really bad. Lorena wins 15-3 with Lorena making the first birdie by either player at the 16th hole. It would have been better as a team event because there might have been a few, what do you call them, oh yeah, birdies, in a silly-season-type event.
