OUCH!! What happened? Bad weather or just bad golf?

Hope Paula didn't get a case of Montezuma's revenge.

I just thought....this isn't even a "silly season" (off season) event! It's right at the height of the LPGA season. Oh well.

Actually Paula won the 1st and 2nd hole. 0-2
Then they tied from 3th to 9th and Lorena won the 10th. 8-2
11th and 12th tied again.
Paula missed a put on the 13th. 11-2
Paula made a bogey on 14th 12-2
Both made bogey on 15th
16th Lorena birdied 14-2
17th and 18th one for each one.

I had the opportunity to attend the last several skins games. I disagree that this was anything different than in the past. Hard to get excitement with only two players in a skins game. The fans adore Paula and make more of a connection with her than they ever did with Annika. That being said the golf was definitely hindered by the condition of the course, particularly the greens. They probably were the worse that either have putted on since they turned professional. The past skins game was held across the street at a much better golf course.

With the #1 and #3 players in the world only making 1 birdie in 20 holes (40 holes total) you have to figure that the greens were suspect.

I heard Lorena apologize to Paula for the course and greens condition.

I would not be surprised if next year there are 2 teams involved but definitely at a different venue.

The greens were terrible, that's for sure and yes, Lorena apologized to Paula. Nevertheless they didn't play great, I mean Lorena hit a couple of fairways in the front 9.

Now about having more players, it's tough because if you see the LPGA schedule this was the 1st week off they had and they were coming from a major, so many rather spend time with family and friends, as well as practicing.

The venue issue is complicated too, since Guerrero's goverment supports the event with money they pretty much decide in which course it'll be played.

Have a nice day!
