Thumbs up Morgan at the Jamie Farr

Morgan is in the final group with a chance to win the LPGA Jamie Farr Owens Corning classic presented by Kroger. A win at this event against Se Ri Pak and in front of her family in the Ohio/Michigan area would mean alot to her. She tied her career low in the 3rd round with a 7 under 64 to get within 2 strokes of Se Ri going into the final round.

Early in the final round Morgan has taken a 2 stroke lead after 6 holes. Hopefully she can hang on. This could be a big day for Morgan.

Seems like Morgan wants another trophy huh??? I really think since the KNC she's been playing great and will be a though rival from now on.

Great playing by Morgan! She played well and should be commended for making it an exciting tournament right up until the end. Se Ri played great and built up such a nice lead that Morgan had such a tough challenge. Even after Se Ri lost the lead she birdied 6 of her last 13 holes to claim the victory. Kudos to both ladies.

Some good, some bad for Morgan today. Best news was no tears(apparently), also good was her final round score. Tee shot on 18(I've heard) was the bad.

Camera coverage was pathetic! Plenty of commercial time was substituted for the crucial 18th.

Morgan ended up finishing 2nd at 14 under, 3 shots behind Se Ri Pak. MP played pretty well but Pak hit some incredible clutch shots down the stretch to seal the win. You have to hand it to Se Ri. But solo 2nd place is one Morgan's best LPGA finishes and she will move up to 5th on the money list I believe.

As for the TV coverage, there were some weather problems in the Northeast which knocked out the signal and delayed coverage on number 18.

Great tournament from two outstanding golfers. It doesn't get much better.

Since this is Morgan's thread...I'd like to Congratulate her for fighting a good fight up to the end and for her strong second place.

Heck...she's Only 19 (sounds familiar?)...she has plenty of golf ahead of her. She'll have another win or two before this season is over!
Keep it up Morgan...
