As most seem to think Lorena will be remembered for putting Mexico on the golf map, the further question might be..."Will Mexico STAY on the golf map after she's gone?"

There is no one of any real "wow" factor amongst the female Mexican golfers now. I'm not sure there's even one PGA player from Mexico.

When SeRi lead the way for South Koreans....it was sustained, and is now with top level players coming out of that country.

If no one from Mexico makes a dent in the LPGA ranks, her legacy will be lost....at least as that aspect of her career is concerned.

I'd say retiring at age 28, unless of course she comes back at say age 30, and then people probably won't even remember that.
