I don't dispute that even the best players lose more often than they win. That's a given. What I AM saying is that, according to your original statement, Lorena is apparently the only player who "thinks like a champion." If you look at her win/ loss record compared to Jiyai's for this season, that argument tends to lose its validity.

What I question more than anything is when did you become a mindreader? How do you know what Jiyai, Lorena, or anyone else thinks?
I believe that this season was a fluke for Lorena because of personal issues affecting her golf game not so much from a physical standpoint but from a mental one.

With personal issues behind her, I expect Lorena to win 5 or more events next year and dominate the POY points race. The POY being decided by points makes it relatively easy to identify a dominate player by looking at the points differential between players. Obviously this year there wasn't a single dominate player.

I'll simply ignore your last comments as being argumentative about an opinion.

I'd be very surprised to see Lorena put together another year like she had before 09. When she made her desire to set records known Lorena was a dominant player. Now, with her saying staying on top is her goal and down playing the record setting, I think she realizes those dominant days are over.

Creamer is capable of putting 5 wins together, as is Shin, Nordqvist, Pettersen, Wie, Kerr, to name several others but as we know past performance is far from a guaranty of the future (as Nike, Sony, etc. well know).

A healthy Paula Creamer is very capable of 5 wins in a season.... when she's got that hot putter.... look out.

Why would I do that? gxer knows more about golf than myself and most here and I enjoy reading his post and discussing golf.

Why are you so interested in me?

Do you even play, watch or read about golf to know who these ladies are we are talking about?

Ignore if you want, but you're the one who brought the subject up. You seem to have insight as to what and how players think. That's not being argumentative, just wondering how you got so insightful.

I have some serious doubts that Lorena, or anyone else, will dominate the POY race. There are simply too many good players on tour. Jiyai, MW, Paula, Anna, Cristie, and any number of players are capable of winning at ant time. I believe that the majors, with the double points, could be the determining factor in who wins next year.

Women's majors have double hall of fame points but not for POY.

My mistake. Tell me, honestly, do you think Lorena, or any other player, is going to be truly dominant? I have some serious doubts. I expect there to be several players in contention for that title.

Nope. You might have missed the first paragraph:

"The Rolex Player of the Year is based on a points system which awards players points based on how they finish in each official LPGA event. All points are doubled at the four major championships - Kraft Nabisco Championship, McDonald's LPGA Championship Presented by Coca-Cola, U.S. Women's Open, RICOH Women's British Open.

Oh...I thought you got insulted because you follow women's golf! So, the the posts that do not suit your taste, you'd like it deleted. No?

What do you think I'm doing here? They did not call me "The Tiger Woods of the Rockies" for nothing! In 2005, during the Women's U.S. Open here at Cherry Hills, I talked to most of those women you were talking about.
