The rules of the Hall of Fame need to be updated. It is absurd that she could spend three years as world number one without becoming eligible.

How about that. The LPGA will be without a superstar. Since 2000, the POY has gone to either Annika (2000 thru 2005) or Lorena (2006 thru 2009).

I dunno....

It'll be interesting to hear from her what her reasons are for retiring. Clearly, we've heard several times that she "might" retire soon.

I don't think it's because she's preggers...I could be wrong. (Her recent angry behavior on the golf course could be attrituted to hormonal issues I guess).

I think we're gonna hear some vague reasons on Friday.

I want to focus more on my family and my charities.

I'm "stepping away" (AKKKKK) from the game for a while.

I have other priorities in my life right now and don't feel I can devote the time necessary to play at a high level.

Blah...blah...blah.

To me, she hasn't looked like a "happy camper" recently...but we'll see what she says. I hope she's retiring for a positive reason in her life.

This afternoon on ESPN Radio, their newsbreak said the Lorena is indeed pregnant. I'm betting she will return after the baby is born. Good luck to Lorena and her entire family.

If she were as devout a Catholic as has been reported, she would not have been taking birth control pills, at least not for contraceptive purposes.

This is crazy. If she is pregnant, why announce you are retiring. If she really wanted to come back and play after a while she could, many Moms on tour have. Using the Annika line of 'stepping away' would make more sense in that scenario.

Also, what in the world will happen about the HOF?

OK then....preggers it is.

If she "steps away" ...can't she come back later and fulfill her HOF 10 year requirement? I don't know how the Rule reads.....but surely it's not 10 continuous years.

I want to think that ESPN's Dan Davis had his facts straight when her said she was pregnant. They were the only source saying that at this time. I just want to give everyone a heads up in case ESPN Radio was wrong.
