Yes you are absolutely correct. The coaches noticed it and then made the runerup also getup in front of everyone, so she realized she might as well win. But remember we are talking about a 13-14 year old in local tournaments in Sweden and does not have much relevance as a pro.

Well being nit picky she was 16 when she was doing this - at least the rest of that paragraph in her book she was saying "when I was 16..."

But still a junior and well before a professional.
