Thumbs up Just married

She is now Cristie Kerr-Stevens. Congrats to Cristie on her marriage to Erik Stevens this past weekend. Cristie is coming off her best season as an LPGA pro and now she gets married in the off season. 2006 is a year to remember for her.

Well, I know Morgan Pressel was there for sure. I'll bet Natalie Gulbis attended too. Probably a few other LPGA players were there as well.

CONGRATS, Cristie!............and you are right, Wiefan.......about Mr. Stevens being VERY lucky........he is married to one of the BEST-looking LPGA players (if not THE best).......and gets a chance to watch her play golf, close up, too!..........I'm sure XTina was there also.......she wouldn't miss a chance to get some of that wedding cake.........OK, everyone.....don't be jumping at me for this.......I just couldn't resist.......although we all know it was said tongue-in-cheek........

So, are we to assume that "tongue in cheek" is a euphemism for assinie?

Congratulations to Cristie.

By the way, funny picture of Christina (I don't get what "Xtina" means, obviously I'm missing something) in the current issue of Sports Illustrated.

Sorry Blue..........I thought everyone knew that her nickname was Xtina........even a few TV announcers used it.........Christmas = Xmas........Chris = X.........so Christina = Xtina........it is used all thre time on other DBs.........

Thanks for the explanation, which I find bizarre, frankly. I've never seen the name Christina or Christopher shortened to Xtina or Xtopher.

I thought the derivation the Xmas abbreviation came from the Greek -- X (I can't type it exactly) being Chi in the Greek alphabet which is the first letter of Christ in Greek.

How weird that people would start calling Christina Kim Xtina. Given the attitude toward her on other DBs and the attitude you took toward her here (never missing a chance for the cake), I doubt it's done in to flatter.

I have to say I doubt any TV announcer who wants to keep their job would use that in connection with Christina Kim.
