I personally like the idea of a new venue every year. The Kraft Nabisco has a permanent home, like the Masters. The other three majors should be held at different venues each year.

Good point MarinePaul. What I am most worried about is finding another sponsor. The McDonalds guy interviewed basically said they couldn't get enough money to give to charity with the event, and they would replace the event on their terms as a charity golf tournament, which would raise as much money as this LPGA event. Kind of a backhand slam on the LPGA. He also tried to blame the economy somewhat, but I think Mc&Dons is benefitting from the downturn - more people eating at their restaurants.

I also voted for a new venue each year. The LPGA needs to grow its fan base and one of the best ways to do this is to bring a major tournament to a town. That's how I started following the LPGA -- the USWO came to my town. The exta cost involved in setting up a tournament in a new place each year would be worth it.

Let the defending Champion have the honor of choosing the country in which the next LPGA Championship would be held. ![]() Anna would probably say Sweden.
