Fantastic. Good job LPGA. Should be interesting to see what Bivens bashers will come up with on this one. They always find something wrong. |

Bivens probably didn't have anything to do with it. The Samsung was started in 1980 by Mark McCormack, who founded IMG....it is still run by IMG... The LPGA course committee said they want the rough to be no more than 2 to 3 inches long, the same as it is for the paying customers. They also want the greens to read 11 on the stimpmeter, a little faster than for the public. The course will play just over 6700 yds, about 80 yds longer than from the white tees. Viva Annika |

But you want to kill Bivins for Ginn events which was run by IMG and brougt to the LPGA by IMG and Stanford which was brought to the LPGA by IMG. ![]() Bivins is in Charge. Whatever happens it is on her watch. If the Sec of State negotiates a Treaty it is still the Presidents treaty. Last edited by xman5; 03-10-2009 at 04:54 PM. |

No one wants to kill Bivens. That would be a bit drastic. We'd much rather just run her out of town. Ginn and Stanford were their own sponsors. They both tanked. So, should Bivens not be blamed? As you say, they happened on her watch.

As does this event fall on her watch, yet no one wants to give her credit for it. But you better believe if the event found no course this year and didn't happen we'd be hearing how awful and horrible she is.

DJ, the problem I have with her, and have since the beginning, is that she went out of her way to alienate long- time sponsors for the quick buck (Ginn, for example). It seems that the majority of what she does comes back to bite her in the ass. The media fiasco, lost tournaments, the "English only" crap, all of that was on her watch. She's supposed to be a marketing gurur, but has done just about everything ass- backwards.

I understand that, but that shouldn't prevent her from getting credit when she does do good things for the tour.
