Stadium course @ TPC Sawgrass

I'd like to see the ladies play this course.

I'm laughing right now thinking of the first time I played a new course that had opened nearby.They had 1 hole on the back nine(#11) where you had to carry your drive about 200 yards over water(and this was from the forward tees).I was playing it on a windy day(15 mph going against me),and I ended up hitting around three dozen balls into the water.

I got so frustrated,I finally threw a ball across the water,off to the side,and played it from there,scoring around a 90 on that one hole.

Golf can be funny sometimes.

As far as the ladies playing Sawgrass,it would be very interesting to see who could stick it on the 17th,especially if it is windy.

I'd like to see it, too, MP.....but the ownership (PGA) would never allow it with Finchem there........

Buzzer, I wouldn't mind seeing them play at the TPC in Myrtle Beach, either. You're right about Finchem, though. He's a male Bivens. It's hard for me to believe that both the PGA and LPGA are run by idiots.

You mean an LPGA tour event on the home course of the PGA TOUR?

Sorry to disagree with you,MarinePaul,but if they are idiots to take these tough positions to begin with,then I must be a real loser,because there is no way I could land a high paying gig like they have,and I'm no dummy,either.I admire them for the jobs they are attempting to do,even if it don't always seem as though they are doing the right things.Carolyn in particular has been blasted for many things she has done,but you have to admit that she is trying her absolute hardest to get the LPGA noticed any way she can,and she has been successful thus far.The purses are also getting a little bigger,too.I feel she deserves praise for this,not scorn.

Detroit, a lot of people criticize me personally, so it doesn't matter even if you were. My opinion of Bivens is obvious throughout this site. She's done more harm than good, beginning with the media fiasco at the beginning of the year, losing five tournaments, and the list goes on. Finchem comes across as an arrogant jerk, much like Bivens does.

You're right,gxer,it definately isn't very likely to happen,but it would be nice to see.That 17th hole could be a monster on a windy day,and even you would have to admit that would be very fun to watch.

And I respect your opinion on these things,because in many ways you are correct.She has made some mistakes,just as anyone would who is taking a position of this magnitude as a rookie at it.Give Bivens some time,and she might turn out to be an excellant commissioner.I hardly feel that we should judge her on only one season.Let's just see how it pans out with her,because she has at least brought back a couple of the tournaments that were lost,albeit in a different locale,or with a different sponsor.

As far as Finchem is concerned...He may come across to many as an arrogant jerk(believe me,you are not the only one who feels this way),but I feel that maybe he just don't know how to express his feelings to the media without sounding this way,and the media vampires feed off of stuff like that.It is easy to blame the media,sure,but Finchem is the one who is making the comments.He just has to be more careful when commenting to the media,because at times he has come across as an arrogant jerk to me,too,so I can see where you are coming from here.
