I would say it's very different in Korea. Not at how they root for the home players but the star treatment they bestow on top non-Korean players from he moment they step off the plane and get flowers draped around their necks to media inundating the airwaves, print and and Internet with coverage. I'm mobile now but I can elaborate later

I will also have to check out that article. But even that article. Did it even cause a ripple in sports waters this weekend? Again, I bet more sports fans heard more about Nathan's Hot Dog Eating contest.

Also, I've read enough forum discussions and blogs to know with all the Korea names in the top 10 this weekend there are a lot of fans who wouldn't have watched even if it were televised.

Granted, you could have a point that I'm overreacting to a bad but not dire situation. Perhaps seeing how much coverage the ladies at Wimbledon received the past two weeks while a long standing event on LPGA could not even rate delayed coverage made me unfairly juxtapose the two tours. I try to avoid doing that but I did ponder that over the weekend. Those two tours are apples and oranges, or some kind of fruit.
