She cheated, look at the video, she marks than immediately moves the ball to the side. Even a 30 hdcper knows how to mark the ball. LPGA going south!!

Whether the misplaced ball was intentional or not, is not really the main point. The bigger issues are whether 1) a golf tournament should be officiated by people watching at home on HDTV. 2) a penalty can be assessed the day after an infraction occurs.

It's a shame, but in 100% honesty I watched the 3rd round live and did see her mark the ball and said to my self that was a little off when she replaced the ball.

These players seem to have a bad habit of marking the ball from the side. I can guarantee others did the same thing. They were just not on hdtv with a super zoom.

My problem is that if you can only tell by a zoom then it is not a violation.

The bigger issue is, with all these unidentified people who are not officially rules officials, you open professional golf open to a modern fix. Even though the people may mean well, you can not know whether they have ulterior motives, such as money bet on the tournament. We have our friendly games predicting winners, scores, win , place, show. Suppose someone has contests like ours, where millions are at stake. That kind of email could be just what someone needed to make a lot of money.

it's a one ft. putt. to "reason" she cheated is a stupid conclusion.

the person who decided to assess that penalty is gutless and senseless when it comes to reasonably and fairly applying a rule.
