Head to head

No offense intended! If I remember my history correctly the Four Horsemen of Football were considred the best of the best football players in their day. When the "Four Horsewomen of the lpga" as I call them are in the same tournament, does any other member of the lpga have a chance of winning?

My "Four Horsewomen of the lpga" are:
1. Annika
2. Paula
3. Michelle
4. Morgan

I think one of those four will win the tournaments they are all entered in.

But?

Will Grace, Cristie, Se Ri, and _____ go along with my prediction?

Neophyte, on any given day, there are a lot of possible winners. Se Ri, Natalie, Grace and JRo all come to mind. And, I think Michelle should be disqualified from your list, since she's not a member. Great question, though.

MP, I agree that MW should be DQ'd, so as the Calendar Girl since she hasn't won an LPGA yet. Miss Firecracker hasn't started yet, so we'll see if she'll be one the "HORSEWOMEN OF THE LPGA".

Here are my lists:

1. Annika

2. Paula

3. Seri Pak

3. Karrie

All Hall of Famer except for Paula.

DB, I just realized we shouldn't have used the word "disqualified" for MW. People will accuse us of being insensititve.

Great Post:

Annika has to be the favorite every time she tees it up......I'd love to see her win them all, but we all know thats almost an impossibilty. I think Paula,Lorena, Morgan, JRo, Grace and SeRe will be contenders. Hopefully Graces' back will be okey. I think SeRe worked herself into a David Duval type syndrome, and I hope she has worked thru it. I sat here for quite a while trying to think who might break thru this year (Natalie, I hope). I'd hate to see her become the Anna Kournakova of the golf set.I think the iron lady, Christina Kim might come thru again. She is fun to watch. All in all, we are in for a great season, it looks like..............................Viva Annika

Hi ya neophyte....now this is a good thread..... I can really dig this....as far as Michelle is concerned....include her or not include her....don't matter to me.....the scoreboard will tell what it will tell

about your question "does any other member of the lpga have a chance of winning?"....you had better believe it....Birdie Kim did it last year....these four ladies are not "gods" that are unbeatable....they are just mere mortals that happen to have a better name recognition....on any given day....any of the other ladies can shoot lights out.....if you look at the total number of tournaments last year...over half of them were won by others than these four.....

AndersN....welcome to this discussion forum....it is great to see a new poster....I loved the way you "snuck" in Hee-Won Han's name.....I agree with this theory.....DO NOT COUNT OUT THE KOREAN CONTINGENT....they are on tour with a lot of participants....and there is a REASON for this....they can all flat out play golf.....and NO, I am not putting MW into this category as a Korean player.....MW is in a category of her own...a non-LPGA player that can beat anyone on any day....and the all of the LPGA players KNOW this....ahhh I just had to throw this in....I love it....made my day

anyway...neophyte....great thread....have a good day...see ya

To be honest, since Bivens has opened the door with her decision on Morgan, I say let Michelle become a member. In that case, I'd have to include her in the list.

Wiefan, you finally said something we can all relate to.....MW is in a category all her own.......NON WINNER, and sixty six victories away from the Greatest Golfer ever to swing a club. I love it when you partisan people finally admit things that never will be. MarinePaul, did you ever think this day would come?...........................Viva Annika
