First American to win on the LPGA this season ?...

Seven tournaments in and the current total is this : South Korea and Japan 3 wins each,Taiwan 1 win.

Sooo, who will be the first American to win on the tour this season ?

I'd have done a poll, but I have no idea how to,and, anyway,I'd have left somebody off,on purpose, and then it would have turned into a snarky bitch-fest.

I enjoy a snarky bitch-fest as much as the next guy/gal,but I thought I'd gauge opinion rather than stir the pot.

I think it could be Amanda Blumenherst. She's had a very solid start to her career,on tour, and is proving that she belongs.

If not Amanda,I'm going for some flukey,out-of-left-field WTF moment ;like Hilary Lunke at the US Open.

What say ye ?...

Normally, I'd have said Paula creamer, but the health issues prevent me from choosing her. Given that, I'll go with Morgan Pressel. She's got the Japanese win under her belt, and may be ready to make an impact on the American tour.

It could be Paula.

She's planning on returning at the Shoprite,so she'll only miss one more tournament.

If she's fully recovered, she has as good a chance as anyone.

Well,except Amanda Blumenherst,of course...

Amanda's not a bad choice, either. My concern with Paula is that she may not be as sharp after the layoff. It may take a few tournaments to get back into the swing of things.

Is Hilary taking advantage of her exemption to the US Open? If so, I pick her to win again.

She didn't take advantage of it last year ;mind you,she didn't do anything else, either.

Has she retired and just not mentioned it to anyone ?...

She seems to have been a one- hit wonder. I was one who expected more from her after she won the Open, but I think I overestimated her.
