A Chat With LPGA Co-Founders

Amazing that at the beginning of the tour, they played such long distances...

BKB - That was great, and you can still see the golf spirit in these gals. Good stuff.... and as that clip ended they were talking more.

So I imagine there is more. If you find more, it would be a treat to go back in the LPGA time-line, and see or hear it as it was. Thanks. :-)

Update : Bettye's vid is also great... man a case of beer as a prize. Also two thoughts, why does the LPGA site itself not have these vids.... or do they, and I have just not found them yet? And second.... someone really should make a movie of the LPGA.... a lot of good American history there.... in a time when I was just being born, and a kid. I would go see it. :-)

...and without today's club technology...and probably were paid peanuts compared to the men for their effort...

...Shirley Spork and Betty Hicks talk about the inception of the WPGA/LPGA and the Teaching and Club Professional Division...

Past history is sure something else... with it the present and future golf picture makes a whole lot of more sense. Brings in balance and clarity of the vision. Good to go back and see how it all really did begin. Good for the young ones to see to, for it shows them just how far and deep the spirit of the LPGA really did and does go. :)
