Not with me, Saint. I agree it's ridiculous that money doesn't count but points earned do. However, i doubt it will have a large impact on the final standings at year's end anyway. Normally ROY is won by a wide margin, and the few points Amanda accumulated probably won't make a difference.

With one tiny caveat. With so few tournaments that rookies can get into -fewer events in general and more of them having a limited field -sponsors' exemptions could figure into the final tally. And if a sponsor is giving out an exemption, they are more likely to give one to Amanda than to Cindy LaCrosse. Five or six sponsors' exemptions could end up making a difference. Thinking about it,it would be much fairer if the earnings counted and the ROY points didn't. Again,no criticism of Amanda Blumenherst is implied. I like the way we're all at pains to point that out... ![]() Pax Vobiscum Saint-Just X |

Some of the LPGA "rules" are crazy to say the least. They aren't consistent. I was as surprised as anyone when I saw that Amanda had earned ROY points. As far as her play in Singapore, she just had a bad tournament. She'll bounce back.

Blue i never said the arguement was about how it played out in the Asian swing. All i did was agree that the system itself was flawed, while at the same time mentioning that ROY is normally won by a wide margin and that Amanda's points probably wouldn't make that much of a difference, that's all.
