Ai Miyazato from Japan has won this years Honda PTT LPGA Thailand Tournament, hosted at the Siam Country Club in Chonburi, Thailand. Miyazato finished the last hole with a birdie chip to post a 63 (9-under-par) and a one-stroke victory over Suzann Pettersen from Norway, and five-stroke win over 3rd place winner Yani Tseng from Taiwan.

Miyazato, started off the final day six strokes behind Pettersen and caught up on the 15th to grab a share of the lead, Miyazato parred 16th and 17th, and led by one heading to the 18th after Pettersen made a bogey on the par-three 16th. Miyazato final chip in for birdie on the 18th won her the best one day score of the tournament 9-under (63) which is also the course record, she also matched the tournament record of 21-under (267) set by Pettersen when she won the Honda in October 2007.

Suzann Pettersen finished the final day with a 2-under 70 giving her a total of 268 or 20-under-par for the tournament. Pettersen had a chance to force a playoff on the final hole par-5 18th, but missed a 23-foot eagle try to finished with a birdie.

This is Ai Miyazato second LPGA victory to date, last year she won Evian Masters in France. Ai Miyazato winners check for winning the Honda Thailand is $195,000 from a total prize purse of $1,300,000.

Paula Creamer had to withdraw after the first round of play. Creamer announced that she had re-injured her thumb that she injured last year causing her to miss a couple of tournaments.

Last years Honda winner Lorena Ochoa and defending champion finished up with 6-under-par for the tournament total placing her at T18.
