World number one Inbee Park shot a birdie putt on the final hole Sunday to win the North Texas LPGA Shootout. Imbee beat Spain’s Carlota Ciganda by one stroke to capture her third LPGA victory for 2013. Suzann Pettersen winner of 11 LPGA tour tournaments including one major tournement posed naked for ESPN magazine. The 32 year old from Oslo, Norway had no problem joining the list of world famous athletes that have appeared naked. Pettersen is the sixth golfer to pose naked for the ESPN magazine, the others include Christina Kim and Sandra Gal. Jamie Farr passes on LPGA tournament to Marathon...

The LPGA announced on Tuesday that Marathon Petroleum Corporation has joined the LPGA as a title partner of the Toledo-based tournament. The tournament originally named the Jamie Farr Toledo Classic was named after television actor Jamie Farr, And was founded in 1984 after PGA Tour caddie Judd Silverman, a Toledo local, desired to bring a ladies professional golf tournament to his hometown. LPGA Adds New Tournament in Bahamas...

The LPGA has announced a new tournament added to the LPGA 2013 Schedule. The tournament called the Pure Silk-Bahamas LPGA Classic will be played May 23-26 at the Ocean Club Golf Course in Atlantis Paradise Island, Bahamas. This is the first time a LPGA Tournament has been played in the Bahamas and there could be a slight chance of rain, making the course conditions a little slower as May marks the beginning of the rainy season for the Bahamas. Suzann Pettersen wins Safeway Classic...

Suzann Pettersen fired a 7-under-par 64 on the last day of  the Safeway Classic to finish with 207 or 6-under-par for the tournament. Pettersen then had to wait over two hours as the remainder of the field finished their rounds. Na Yeon Choi, the second-round leader, was nine strokes ahead of Pettersen at the start the day, but lost her chance of a clear victory when she finished the day with a two-over 73.
