American Stacy Lewis will hope her success at the British Open last weekend can propel her to the title in Alberta as the 2013 Canadian Open gets underway later this month. Lewis, who won her second major at St Andrews by two strokes over South Korean pair Na Yeon Choi and Hee Young Park, is the clear favourite with golf punters to continue her sterling form. The Ohio-born already had two titles to her name this season and placed within the top-10 nine times, so betting on her to win at St Andrews... Read More »

Wegmans LPGA Championship Winner Inbee Park...

Inbee Park has won this years Wegmans LPGA Championship in a sudden-death playoff against Catriona Matthew. The playoff occurred when Parks equaled Matthew’s total tournament score of 283 or 5-under-par. Park looked to have a solid lead over the others players and was in a good position to win the tournament on the last nine holes of the 4th round. She had a three-shot lead with six holes to play. Park disappointingly bogeyed the 14th, 16th and 18th to finish up with a 3-over-par 75. Matthew... Read More »

Inbee Park (click to enlarge) Babe Zaharias, Patty Berg, Mickey Wright, Sandra Haynie, Pat Bradley and Annika Sorenstam. Before the 2013 Wegmans LPGA Championship that was the list of players who won the first 2 LPGA Majors of the year. Karrie Webb Wins 2013 ShopRite LPGA Classic...

Karrie Webb (click to enlarge) Despite the youth uprising infiltrating the world of women’s golf, let’s not yet hand over the keys to the car to the teenage (and recently teenage) sensations just yet. 38-years young Hall of Famer Karrie Webb put on a dazzling display of final round golf to capture the 2013 ShopRite LPGA Classic. I’m not describing her efforts with superlatives simply because she won. Somebody wins every week. While each triumph on tour takes a great effort, not every final... Read More »

Last year China’s world number eight Shanshan Feng lifted the trophy after finishing two ahead of the pack on six under. Her 282 round may not have eclipsed the staggering 269 finishes previously needed to win the Championship at Locust Hull Country Club, but it certainly was enough in tricky conditions. This... Read More »

World number one Inbee Park shot a birdie putt on the final hole Sunday to win the North Texas LPGA Shootout. The 22-year-old Spaniard Carlota Ciganda held a two-stroke lead over Park following a birdie on the 10th on the final day, she was unable to hold that lead when she double-bogey, bogey the 14th and 15th holes to fall one shot back of Park. This is Inbee Park sixth LPGA title which includes two... Read More »

Michelle Wie putting stance...

Michelle Wie new putting stance seriously looks like it will hurt her back. She’s is trying to find a new putting style that will work for her, Since she didn’t do very well with the long putter so perhaps she thinks the short putter will help, however she is putting at a 90 degree angle. I don’t know if Michelle Wie thinks that being closer to the ball will give her a better line towards the cup, but from her latest tournaments it doesn’t seem like its been helping her to... Read More »
