Catriona Matthew scored a total of 285 or -3 under par to win the tournament by three shots over Australian Karrie Webb. Webb, who started the day eight shots behind, made an impressive chip in for eagle on the 15th and was starting to look like she had a shot at the lead after birding the 16th. Webb finished the final day with a 68 or -4 under par. Placing her second for the tournament.

Catriona Matthew aged 39 is the first Scottish woman to win a major title and this is also Catriona first victory on the LPGA tour. Catriona took home a total of $335,000 for winning first prize. Paula Creamer, Christina Kim, Ai Miyazato and Hee-Won Han finished joint third.

Defending champion Jiyai Shin began the last day four shots from Matthew and lost her chance shooting some bogie’s during her round finishing her with a three-over-par 75. The best score over the four rounds was from Catriona Matthew and Giulia Sergas who recorded a 67 or -5 under par on the second day.
