South Korean Se Ri Pak has won this years Bell Micro LPGA Classic in Mobile, Alabama. Due to a poor weather forecast and the course being soaked, officials decided to reduce the event to 54 holes. The scores posted in the final round were wiped out and Se Ri Pak, Suzann Pettersen, and Brittany Lincicome went into play-off as they shared the overnight lead at 13-under-par.

Pettersen bogeyed the second playoff and went out of the contention. 33-year-old Pak birdied the third playoff hole at the No. 18 to defeat American Brittany Lincicome.

The win is Se Ri Pak first since winning the Jamie Farr Owens Corning Classic in 2007. Pak Jumps up 26 spots to world number 22. Se Ri Pak received $195,000 for winning the tournament which takes her 7th on the money list for this year with a total of $237,851.

Despite not doing very well the past few years Se Ri Pak has a very impressive list of wins in her history. Pak has won LPGA Tournaments 25 times including 5 majors. Her best years were between 2001 to 2003 where she won a total of 13 tournaments. She will certainly be a threat to the top players if she pulls her game together like it did in early years of 2000.

Jiyai Shin has managed to hold off Ai Miyazato as number one player in the world. Suzann Pettersen jumped up one spot to third over Yani Tseng. Azahara Munoz broke the tournament lowest one day score record on the first day shooting a 65 or 7-under-par. Wendy Ward equaled this record on the 2nd day and Suzann Pettersen equaled the record on the third day. Defending champion Angela Stanford made it to the top 10.
